YOUTH CLUB NEWS
Congratulations!!
We have ALL done a great job with Helping out and Fund
Raising at all of our shows!! THE YOUTH SHOULD BE VERY
PROUD!
I'm very pleased on how everyone has pitched in when they
could to make this a great show season so far. Lets keep it
up!!
First off- Memorial Day Show was a huge success!!
A HUGE Thank you to all who sold or bought candles, bought
pattern books, went into training classes, sold or bought
raffle tickets, played our games, attended the Luau, brought
food/canned goods/decorations/prepared or served food/
DONATED Items for Prizes and Raffles. (I'm sorry if I have
overlooked anyone) We also appreciate the ones who helped
with the gates/ribbons/trail class set up/tear down and
overall flow of the show.
We also had so much fun with the LIVE entertainment, Limbo
contests, hula hoop contests, best outfit and kareoke- We
all did a wonderful job including out of staters and the shy
people.
If you have ideas to make this even more fun make sure to
e-mail me so we can try it. I think maybe next year we will
try a stall decorating contest too. Keeping with the same
theme- so people can find things Topical to decorate with.
As soon as I get the Youth Club picture we will get it on
the webpage. I can hardly wait to see the fun picture we
took-should be good.
Next, the World Show is getting ready to start, if you
attend the show in Fort Worth and are not currently on the
team, we would still like to have you come sit in the stands
and support the rest of the Iowa members with us! We usually
find a corner in the John Justin and cheer on our friends.
You are always welcome.
I will try to send updates from the show to be posted or you
can check the APHA website.
On a sad note, Lynze Moon's grandfather, Dave Mitchell, had
some major surgery this past week and needs our prayers and
well wishes. He has been an active supporter of the youth
club. Get Well Quick Dave!
Thanks again,
Jackie Kincaid

Thanks to everyone who
helped raise money to help start our our youth club's year. Thanks for
all of the baskets given and sold and Hansen's for their donation of a
stud fee and a Horse Power ad. Also Mrs. Boldt for the framed art.
Thanks to my Aunt Sherry for giving all of the new youth sweat shirts
for all of the Iowa youth kids. So if you didn't get yours let me know.
If you want to buy one the sweat shirts are $20.00 each.

World
Show Team
The Youth Team had an
AWESOME Team Tournament and we ended up placing 7th overall. We received
Fourth as a team in Hippology, Seventh in Parade of States, First in
Knowledge Relay, Tommy placed 7th Horsemanship and Kourtney Smith placed
8th in horsemanship, and Brittney placed ninth in Barrels. We should be
getting a lot of great pictures of the parade from Cindy and Brandie
Moon. The kids had a blast and were very united as a team. Everyone
cheered everyone else on and it showed what a great bunch of youth and
youth parents we have. We all are excited to go again next year. A huge
"Atta Girl" to Cindy for the preparation and completion of the whole
team experience. We all appreciate her determination and drive to do
well.
In the regular part of the show:
Tommy made the finals and placed 10th in Horsemanship and 7th in
Showmanship.
Candi made the finals in her Hunter Under Saddle class.
Overall, all of the youth had a pretty good World Show and were proud to
represent Iowa . Several youth placed well under judges in their cuts
but didn't make the finals. Congrats to all for doing their best!
Our Youth World show
team: Lyndsey Niebuhr, Brittney Kincaid, Michael Hager,
Candice Hager, Tiffany Payne, Trisha Ketelsen, Tommy Hershberger, Marah
and Kourtney Smith, and Lynze Moon.
Our Youth would like to
thank the following sponsors for their generous contributions
towards the World Show Team and were thrilled to represent our club
this year!!
